After finishing the work of the Father’s redemptive plan for fallen humanity, His desire and the Father’s will is for Jesus to be glorified and exalted in His normal, eternal state. This prayer was partially fulfilled when He ascended to Heaven, seated at the right hand of the Father, interceding for us as the Great High Priest and sole Mediator between God and man. This prayer will be further fulfilled when He comes back and rules the earth for 1,000 years on David’s throne in Jerusalem. This prayer will be finalized when Jesus judges all moral creatures and everyone of them bows the knee and confesses that Jesus is Lord.
