1 Tim 6:6-10
Mark 14:4-6
John 12:4, 17:12

Matt 27:4

A man who could be a key witness in Jesus’ case, declares that Jesus is innocent! The priests don’t care about Judas’s comfort and simply brush him off. “Tempters never make good comforters.’ – unknown

Matt 27:5

Judas throws the silver in a restricted area of the temple and hangs himself. Such a sad end for someone loved by God and made in His image.

Eze 33:11

Matt 27:6-8

The priests who just convicted an innocent man follow the law to reject blood money. They gave this money to Judas and can’t see the irony in their wanting to get rid of it. They donate the money to a burial site for strangers. Using their blood money for a “good” deed. We see the field that the Priest purchased with the blood money is called the “Field of Blood.”

Deut 23:18

Judas hung himself and Acts later fool’s in the details of his death.

Acts 1:18-19

Matt 27:9-10 This fulfills two prophecies: Zech 11:12-13 and Jer 19. Zechariah is quoted but Matthew, inspired by the Holy Spirit, says that Jeremiah wrote the prophecy. This can be explained by many legitimate theories such as Matthew referring to the prophets in general under the title of Jeremiah or Matthew combining quotations from both passages.

Zech 11:12-13
Jer 19

The price of the thirty pieces that Israel appraised Jesus for, is the same price as a slave. Our Creator was bought at slave’s price.
